Submit to Hatikvah

Hatikvah thrives on submissions from Jewish writers, artists, journalists, and historians at Northeastern and outside. You may submit ideas, drafts, or completed pieces to Hatikvah.

Successful pitches may be:

  • Politics — essays/articles on political topics as they intersect with Jewish identity, culture, and community
  • Religion & Philosophy — essays/stories/reflections on Jewish theology, thought, rituals, spiritual experiences, and the intersection of religion with daily life
  • Culture & Society — essays/articles on Jewish culture, history, social issues, community life, art, music, and food
  • Fiction & Poetry — fiction/poetry that reflect or engage with Jewish themes, culture, and experiences, or are written by a Jewish author/for Jewish audiences
  • Visual Art — any visual art, including artwork, photography, graphic design, or illustration.

You may submit as many pieces as you’d like, but remember — quality > quantity. We’re excited to consider your work!
