Submit writing & art
Hatikvah thrives on submissions from Jewish writers, poets, journalists, and historians at Northeastern and outside. If your piece — writing or art — is completed, you may submit it to the appropriate section. If you have an idea for a piece you would like to create, please submit a pitch — including a detailed description of what you’d like to write or create, a brief biography, and, if possible, links to previously published works — to our team.
Successful pitches may be:
- Politics — essays/articles on political topics as they intersect with Jewish identity, culture, and community
- Religion & Philosophy — essays/stories/reflections on Jewish theology, thought, rituals, spiritual experiences, and the intersection of religion with daily life
- Culture & Society — essays/articles on Jewish culture, history, social issues, community life, history, art, music, and food
- Fiction & Poetry — fiction/poetry that reflect or engage with Jewish themes, culture, and experiences, or are written by a Jewish author/for Jewish audiences
- Visual art — any visual art, including artwork, photography, graphic design, or illustration.
Please forward your pitch or completed work to us along with the appropriate section to hatikvahteam@gmail.com.
